Setting Up a Puppy-Safe Space at Home
Before your puppy comes home, take a walk through your house at puppy-height. Tuck away shoes, electrical cords, and small objects that could be chewed or swallowed. Block off stairs or unsafe areas with a baby gate, and make sure any household chemicals or plants toxic to dogs are out of reach.
1. Food (Life Abundance)

3. Crate & Exercise Pen (crate with divider, click on it the "large crate" for the link to amazon if you plan on crate training. We like this crate that has a divider so you can make it bigger as your puppy grows) . And exercise pen can be handy to have as well for inside time so your puppy can be close but not have full reign of the house. :)
4. Collar and Harness (options, most likely the puppies will be around 11-17 lbs when you bring them home, we recommend size small or small/medium for collars and harnesses)
5. Leash (we recommend at least one regular leash and one slip lead for training)
6. ID Tags
7. Food and Water Bowls (*but try to feed puppy out of your hand first 2 months for training)
8. Play Toys (a few durable puppy toys... and you'll be set!)
9. Comfort Toys (snuggle puppy with heartbeat)
10. Training Aids (bells for potty training, clicker training, barking/training collar)
11. Grooming (Another great product for your new puppies grooming needs is a Furminator Grooming Rake which you can buy locally at your Pet Store. This Grooming Rake easily removes the dead undercoat with minimal cutting and damage to your puppies beautiful coat!)
Setting Up the First Night
The first night home is often the hardest for a new puppy, who is adjusting to life away from their littermates. Keeping your puppy's crate near your bed for the first several nights can ease the transition, and a worn t-shirt with your scent on it, along with a snuggle toy, can be comforting during this adjustment period.

Schedule your puppy's first veterinary visit within the first few days of bringing them home. Bring along the health records and shot history provided in your Puppy Packet so your vet has a complete picture of your puppy's care so far.
